Job Objective
As Accountant you will be part of the Columbus Global Finance Operations team and you will be overall responsible for accounting for assigned tasks for different legal entities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all assigned accounting processes are performed timely and with high quality in co-ordination with our internal process teams (AR, AP, Payroll, Project control, License Processing) and chief accountants. You will also have your own operational accounting responsibilities, including general ledger accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, reconciliations and assistance in tax filings (both income tax and sales tax). Furthermore, you are expected to co-ordinate with auditors, advisors and local authorities, as well as other internal teams and stakeholders in Columbus.
You will be based out of our Columbus India entity in Hyderabad where you will report directly to our Associate Director of Global Finance Operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA Finance or CA Inter
- 6-8+ years of working experience in Global MNCs
- Fluent in English, oral and written
- Proficient in MS office tools
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Transition of accounting processesCo-ordinate with Chief accountants, other shared services teams, Group Finance, Business Finance partners & other Global Finance Operations (AP, AR, payroll & project control) teams for regular day to day activitiesResponsible for month-end closing and reporting as per the published timelinesIntercompany reconciliations & paymentsFixed aseet accounting, Deferred expense, accruals and other recurring manual entriesPrepare reconciliations for all assigned Balance sheet acocuntsEnsuring timely sales tax payments & return filingsSupport with Annual closing activities like financials, audits, tax & other statutory filings in co-ordination with consultants and chief accountantsDocumenting the processes (SOPs)Automation of repetitive process through available tools and systemsEnsure the highest quality and accuracy in accounting & reportingActively participate & contribute for process improvements in new D365PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
