Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively assist in compilation of data for meeting compliances under GST for PAN India registrations
  • Filing returns, payment of taxes and giving entries for timely accounting of taxes.
  • Assist in examining GST credits and identifying the eligible and ineligible credits and availing the appropriate credit in monthly return and distribution of common credit to various GST registrations.
  • Assist in coordinating and helping in completing the GST audits. 
  • Prepare submissions and pursue the completion of audits before tax authorities.Assist in pre-GST assessments/audits (VAT/CST, service tax assessment, appeals and audits)
  • Collation of data, preparation of submissions, coordination with consultants, for additional submissions, etc.
  • Assist in preparation and filing of replies to notices, appeals and petitions in respect of GST as well as pre-GST indirect taxes (VAT/CST, service tax). 
  • Assist in preparation and filing of refund/rebate under GST claims, where required, on a timely basis.
  • Closely work with Finance and Business for data and information for preparing returns and audit/ assessment information.

Educational Qualification / Experience:

Commerce Graduate, Inter CA with 2/3 years of important post qualification experience in Large Indian and/or multinational Company or reputed CA / Indirect Tax practicing firm or a qualified CA (fresher)Good accounting knowledge and experience in accounting for taxesWorking knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and ERP system.

Core Competencies:

You should have working knowledge on GST, VAT, CST, WCT, Service tax rules, CENVAT rules including ISD mechanism.

Good communication skills are required to interface at all levels in the business community, with Tax and with external parties.

Good organization skills, attention to detail & the ability to multi-task, working with timelines.

A shown ability to work as part of multi disciplinary teams and to build and maintain networks within and outside Tax.

The individual must be self-motivated, with an ability to chip in individually (work with minimal direct supervision) together with being a strong great teammate.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting, or related field

  • Minimum of 2 year experience in tax
  • CPA & advance degree with an emphasis in taxation
  • Basic knowledge of US international tax law and regulations.
  • US GAAP Financial Accounting/ASC 740 knowledge.
  • Understanding tax implications of multi-national company
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex solutions without supervision.
  • Strong analytical & problems solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
