JOB TITLE

Senior Analyst (FPM – Financial Performance Management)

YOUR DEPARTMENT

Finance & Corporate Services -Global Business Services

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing incident backlog, logged by business for the application issues and ensures timely and comprehensiveness of the solution provided by Technology Team.
• Suggest functional and technical expertise within an assigned business area in the analysis, design, development and implementation of business processes and applications.
• Participate in new product reviews, tests and pilots.
• Document system functions and cross functional processes.
• Provide production support to Oracle cloud and integrated third party applications.
• Provide consulting support on processes and systems issues. Collect, document, and analyze business requirements and suggest functional specifications to technology team.
• Identify operational inefficiencies, conflicting business practices and integration issues. Apply judgment and consulting skills to arrive at the optimal solution.
• Integrate project activities with Finance and Technology teams to ensure successful implementation and support of projects.
• Foster and maintain productive relationships with technology teams and business partners.
• Support training and education of business partners regarding new applications, business processes, and systems support processes.
• Develop test strategy and author test plans as required for application releases, enhancements and patches.
• Review gap analysis and the respective solutions/functional specifications offered by Technology Partners for the new or modified business processes.
• Maintain all project tasks through the production ticket system and resource management systems on a weekly basis. Keep principal /manager informed of any issues.
• Create or assist with the creation and execution of test scripts to ensure that production issues are minimal after implementation of new enhancements, changes or upgrades.
• Manage small project initiatives and enhancements as and when needed.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
• Understanding of Financial Close, Consolidation, General Ledger Accounting; Financial Planning, Forecasting, Analysis;
• Understanding of internal control elements; strong problem solving and analytical skills;
• Good interpersonal skills; good written and oral communication skills; highly organized; ability to meet strict deadlines; excellent customer service skills; ability to multi-task
• 8 to 10 years of experience working in an Information Technology environment;
• Minimum 5 years professional experience in business analysis, application design, implementation, support or as a super user or auditor in an online environment;
• Experience with accounting and financial systems, preferably Oracle/Hyperion; Understanding of Accounts Receivables (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL),Sub Ledger Accounting (SLA), Project Costing, Project Accounting, or Tax and Order to Cash;
• Understanding of the fundamentals of FSG report and DRM; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

• Keenness and aptitude to learn, upskill and mentor in the respective technical domain

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Business is required with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance preferred. Knowledge of Financial Services Industry preferred
Certified Public Accountancy or Chartered Accountancy or CA-Inter or CMA a plus

SHIFT TIMINGS

Work hours will be from 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST (01:30 PM to 10:30PM IST) and may include late hours and/or weekend support – during close.
