ICAI reopened Correction Window

ICAI as per its recent announcement giving students Opt out facility or change in exam centres, have now opened Correction Window for making changes and named it as "Correction Window-1_Reopen-2" 

It is a platform, where candidates can view and seek change of Centre opted while applying for the exam OR Opting out of the May2020 exams

Instructions

• Candidates who earlier registered themselves for May 2020 Exams can make changes in their application data
• Manual applications seeking change of Centre will not be entertained.
• This window is not for fresh submission of exam forms and is meant only for seeking change of Centre OR Opting out of the May2020 exams
• The requests should be made by the student and not by anyone on his/her behalf.
  
• Corrections, once submitted, cannot be changed thereafter.
  
• Admit cards will be issued based on the examination application form and the correction received till the Correction Window-1_Reopen-2 closes
• ONLY ONE ONLINE APPLICATION FOR A REGISTRATION NUMBER WILL BE ACCEPTED. PLEASE APPLY CAREFULLY.
  

What changes can be made

• Changes opted through Correction Window(s) between 07th to 13th March 2020 
• (or) between 21st to 23rd March 2020 Will be taken into consideration while firming up the admit cards. 
• The last application for change of centre made by you will be considered as final.
• Candidates will be permitted to enter either seeking change of Centre OR Opting out of the May2020 exams
• Candidates will also be permitted to change the Centre opted, i.e., from an Indian Centre to Overseas Centre or from Overseas Centre to an Indian Centre and pay the differential examination fee online through the payment gateway, through this "Correction Window-1_Reopen-2". 
• In case the differential fee, if any, gets deducted from your account and you do not get a "Successful" transaction screen, the status of your application will not be considered successful and the same will not be processed by the office. The failed transactions will be credited back to your account within 21 days after the close of correction window-1_Reopen-2. Log on your dashboard to check the payment status against this activity.
• Candidate will not be permitted to make any corrections/changes to any other field.

Time Limit

• This online facility will be available to the candidates Only for the duration mentioned under Important Dates. 
• There will be no second opportunity / Correction Window-2 (with Fees).
• This window will be open from 17th June 2020 (Wednesday) 11 AM Onwards to 20th June 2020 (Saturday) 11.59 PM.

How to Apply

1. Login to icaiexam.icai.org with your login credentials

2. Candidates can access the portal by clicking "Apply Now" button against 

3. "Correction Window-1_Reopen-2" activity in their dashboard.

Following details, submitted by the candidates in their examination application form will be displayed on the screen.
• Name of the candidate
• Control Number / Barcode number printed on their application form
• Registration number and
• centre opted

4. Upon submission of the request, the candidate will get a Successful Submission confirmation on the screen. 

If you want to change Exam Centre only

Incase you have applied for change of centre through any previous correction window(s), kindly note ICAI already have taken the last changes made through the Correction Window by you and have updated in thier records.

Your dashboard will displaying the original centre (i.e.as opted in the exam form) only.

If you want us to ignore the centre change application made through previous Correction window(s), please select the correct centre and apply now.

For Example: If the exam centre originally opted by you in the exam form was Delhi and in correction windows(s), you changed the same to Mumbai. In ICAI records, they have updated your centre as Mumbai. 

So, if you wish to give exam in Mumbai only then no need to apply through this Correction Window. 

However, if now you wish to give exam in your Original Centre (Delhi) or any other Centre then please apply. 

The candidate should upload scanned copy of a handwritten application in this regard, duly signed by him, seeking the corrections required. Unless this condition is complied with, the candidate would not be able to submit corrections sought, online.

If you want to Opt-Out of July 2020 Exams

You will be required to upload scanned copy of filled up and signed declaration.

The uploading of scanned image of this undertaking after filling up the blank areas and duly signing by the candidate is a mandatory requirement and plain handwritten application will not suffice.

What about fees

• The facility will be available free of cost except for differential examination fee, if applicable.
• No refund of fee already paid will be entertained.
• The candidates if they decided so will be given an option to opt out of the May2020 exam ie; not to appear for May2020 exam scheduled from 29th July 2020 but in lieu of it such candidates will be allowed to appear in Nov2020 exam. The Fee paid for May2020 exam will be carried forward for the Nov2020 exam Only.

For Opt-Out of July 2020 Exams

Major Outcomes by ICAI on FAQs for July 2020 & Nov 2020 Exams

• Wear Mask at Exam Day
• Carry your own Sanitizer
• Maintain Social Distancing
• Reach Exam Centre at least 1 hour before
• If you will have fever, Go back home unless you provide certificate by MBBS Doctor
• Examination Centres will be sanitized on the examination date.
• Inter Old Scheme Last attempt already extended to Nov 2020
• Final Old Scheme Last attempt will be extended to May 2021 to only those student who will OPT-OUT
• November 2020 exams will commence from December 1st week
• If your area comes under containment zone before exam, then you will provide copy of such notification and you will be transferred to Nov 20
• If Exam Centre comes under containment zone, then ICAI will first try to shift all the students to some other centre, if that will be not possible then ICAI will transfer all students to Nov 20
• If you diagnosed as positive COVID - 19 patient during exams, then you are not allowed to enter exam centre or you have serious symptoms then you will be allowed to opt for OPT-OUT facility but you will have to provide your test results report etc
• Correction window is open till 20th June, You can choose to OPT OUT later also but you will have to provide certificate and reports etc.
