About the role:
Analyst in AP & AR Team reporting to the Team lead.
Process the AP /AR invoices and account for payments /receipts, reconcile accounts, and analyze account balances and other duties as assigned. Typically requires a Commerce degree in Accounting with specific training/experience in AP & AR Process. Familiarity with internal, financial controls is preferred.
Essential Duties
Accounts Payable:
- PO and Invoice Processing.
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Payment Processing.
- Tracking aging of payables.
- Assist in month end closing.
- Should be able to handle AP queries independently.
- Reporting and Analysis.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Reconciliation of the Accounts Payable (AP) & accrued balances
Accounts Receivable:
- Billing.
- Cash Application.
- Tracking aging of receivables.
- Assist in month end closing.
- Should be able to handle AR queries independently.
- Reporting and Analysis.
- Reconciliation of the Account Receivables
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Essential: B.Com
Additional: M.Com / MBA/ C.A. Inter
Experience
- Two to four years’ work experience as a AP/AR Accountant
- Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
Work Skills
- Excellent verbal, telephone and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, documentation and follow-up skills
- Skills in prioritizing and dealing with multiple tasks
- Demonstrated experience in working well in small teams and working with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented; demonstrated commitment to accuracy and thoroughness
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
- Exhibit and promote good personal and business professional personal Ethics.
