About the role:

Analyst in AP & AR Team reporting to the Team lead.

Process the AP /AR invoices and account for payments /receipts, reconcile accounts, and analyze account balances and other duties as assigned. Typically requires a Commerce degree in Accounting with specific training/experience in AP & AR Process. Familiarity with internal, financial controls is preferred.

Essential Duties

Accounts Payable:

  • PO and Invoice Processing.
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
  • Payment Processing.
  • Tracking aging of payables.
  • Assist in month end closing.
  • Should be able to handle AP queries independently.
  • Reporting and Analysis.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Reconciliation of the Accounts Payable (AP) & accrued balances

Accounts Receivable:

  • Billing.
  • Cash Application.
  • Tracking aging of receivables.
  • Assist in month end closing.
  • Should be able to handle AR queries independently.
  • Reporting and Analysis.
  • Reconciliation of the Account Receivables
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Essential: B.Com
Additional: M.Com / MBA/ C.A. Inter

Experience

  • Two to four years’ work experience as a AP/AR Accountant
  • Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency

Work Skills

  • Excellent verbal, telephone and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, documentation and follow-up skills
  • Skills in prioritizing and dealing with multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated experience in working well in small teams and working with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented; demonstrated commitment to accuracy and thoroughness
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Exhibit and promote good personal and business professional personal Ethics.
