Revision in Cut-off date for converting from earlier scheme to Revised Scheme of Education and Training implemented w.e.f. 1st July, 2017 for purpose of eligibility to appear in Foundation / Intermediate / Final examinations being held in May, 2019
As per the implementation schedule of revised Scheme of CA Course, Students have the option to switch over to new scheme for the time being, ICAI has already declared that those who want to shift to new scheme for May 2019 Exams, they have to do it before 1st February, 2019 But now it has revised this date to be as 28th February in recent announcement made today.
That means those students who want to shift to the new scheme, they have to do it before 28th February 2019
The reason behind this extension of cut off date may be the problem of ICAI website maintenance issue, for which all online services are down for students and members for the time being.
This extension might be also indicating the extension of May 19 exams, as ICAI has not yet declared the schedule for May 19 exams and also Loksabha Elections are going to be held around May 2019
However, as per the implementation schedule of the new scheme, Students may note that May 2019 exams for IPCC Students and June 2019 exam for CPT students are going to be the last standing option for old course students. After this, they will have to compulsarily shift to New scheme for completion or continuing their CA course.
For Final Level students of Old Scheme, the deadline for the optional shift is Nov 2020

Students are advised to note that last date to convert from earlier scheme to Revised Scheme of Education and Training (implemented from 1st July, 2017) has been extended from 1st February, 2019 to 28th February, 2019 to appear for respective Examinations (Foundation / Intermediate / Final examinations) in May, 2019 under Revised Scheme of Education and Training.
