Title: Assistant Manager
Business unit: Finance & Accounting

Direct reports: 10-15 (Analysts, Sr. Analysts)

Duties & responsibilities
What this job involves –

  • Ensure the implementation of the Finance process as defined by the India Finance team- book keeping and submission of reports as per the agreed frequency by India Finance Team
  • To ensure closing of monthly books in time – sub ledger, closure of all modules, AP, AR, billing
  • Review of entire provisions / accrual (focus on high aging provisions thus impacting P&L of the business)
  • Review of trial balance before closing of books to ensure 100%
  • Compliance
  • To ensure timely forwarding of financial statements to India finance team corporate for consolidation purposes
  • To ensure payments are released as per DOA (review of Financial DOA
  • and Invoice level certification DOA)
  • Statutory compliance
  • All Reconciliations – Bank, supplier, customer and Intercompany
  • As a custodian of financial policies and processes, to ensure that adequate provisioning is carried in books and a true and fair picture of the financial health of the organization is presented to stakeholders
  • Ensure staff performance, motivation and development of the team and establish performance expectations and review the performance on a regular basis

To apply you need to be: –

  • Qualified CA / CA inter with 4-5 years of post qualification experience
  • Strong experience in AP, AR & billing along with overall accounting skills

Performance objectives
  • Enable daily operational activities of Finance Function with a responsibility to own the Profit & Loss account, Accounts payable & receivable.
  • This position will be actively involved in providing due support to JBS Finance Head and finance Team for all accounting and financial matters
  • This position will be completely responsible for Finance operations and will also have complete responsibility for directly working with the business, quality team to ensure continuous performance improvement and sharing best practices within the team and across functions

Key skills
  • Strong expertise in IGAAP accounting & taxation
  • People management experience of 1-2 years
  • Knowledge / exposure towards GST is preferred
