Job Description – Financial Analyst – Finance and Accounting
Role – Financial Analyst (Equivalent Deputy Manager – GBS Finance)
Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Finance month close activities including the recording of month end close journals.
• Analysis and review of financial statements.
• Performing GL reconciliations relating to Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/GRIR and misc accounts on monthly basis and resolution of any issues identified.
• Preparation of MIS reports for management review.
• Interaction with auditors and handling queries on ad-hoc basis on stringent timelines.
• Work closely with team members, colleagues and stakeholders in eliciting, analyzing, validating and documenting the business and operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GM Corporate policies.
• Ensure information accuracy and system integrity at all times.
• Demonstrate proven knowledge and understanding of Internal / SOX Controls.
• Develop, maintain and control desk procedures and documentations.
• Identify, lead and implement process improvements to drive quality compliance and accounting within the functional area.

Skills and Competencies:

• Knowledge and ability to manage end to end accounting. Ability to work according to the Accounting Policy Manual of GM.
• Good accounting knowledge with strong analytical and problem-solving skills including mindset of thinking end to end.
• Good understanding of USGAAP/IFRS will be an advantage.
• Proactive and ability to deliver independently with high first time quality within tight deadlines
• Working knowledge of SAP would be preferred. Should be easily adaptable to various systems and tools of GM.
• Advanced MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint would be an added advantage.
• Integrity and trust with customer service mindset.
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate other countries’ time zones. Strong written and oral communication skills with good interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in accounting/ CA Inter/Master’s degree in Finance and Accounts with 2-3 years of experience in Finance / Accounting domain
