ICAI via its recent announcement on its official website asks students who appeared for Nov 20 Exams started from 21st Nov 2020 and have now opted out of being personally turned covid 19 positive during exams to submit a report along with admit card.


Yes, this is also true that when ICAI declared opted out scheme, it clearly stated that students can opt-out from Exams via a simple self-declaration.


ICAI is demanding this report now for the sake of students who are still appearing the exams and they can sanitize and take more precautions on those centers where such students first appeared for the exam and then opted out due to being personally positive


ICAI also used the word "PERSONALLY" in its announcement which states that those who had opted out by giving reason being not themselves positive but maybe from their family members someone turned positive, in that case, no report is required as per ICAI announcement


Also, No report is required to be submitted if you have opted out before the start of exams.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: OPT OUT DUE TO COVID 19 


In continuation to the Announcement dated 7 th November, 2020 made regarding Opt Out Scheme wherein the students were allowed to opt out for the various reasons due to COVID 19 and such opt out was permitted without production of any supporting documents. In view of the interest of fellow students and to sensitize the centres for further strengthening the precautionary measures, it is hereby advised that candidates who have appeared in the ongoing examination and have now opted out for being personally turned COVID 19 positive during examinations days should immediately submit his/her report along with admit card (both sides) on appearance2020@icai.in.
