1. Senior Financial Analyst - Reporting

Job purpose

The purpose of this job is to prepare financial reports and analyze financial results, cost analysis and budgets. Analyze transactions to determine root causes, variances and recommend corrections to management. Design and create complex reports to user specifications. The position will ideally have to handle more complex issues and special projects than a junior financial analyst.

Responsibilities

Your client responsibilities

• Generate standard financial reports (including inventory reports) on a periodic basis and. Identify and solve issues that affect reporting
• Handle complex ad hoc reports from clients on a timely manner
• Take active part in the revenue planning as well as financial planning process
• Ensure proper review mechanism is in place for the respective teams
• Develop new reports as well as enhance existing reports by working on automating the report preparation as much as possible
• Mentor, guide, train junior analysts and new recruits
• Providing effective solutions and guiding team members on various Functional issues
• Ensure the career development plan for each team member is adhered

2. Financial Analyst – Reporting

Job purpose

The role encompasses Generation of monthly reports financial results for E&Y on a Global basis and performing financial statement review. You will have to ensure the quality of information submitted by individual countries by comparing actual financial results to Plan and Prior Year data

Your client responsibilities

• Generates monthly reports of financial results for E&Y on a Global basis
• Performs financial statement review from a detailed perspective
• Ensures the quality of information submitted by individual countries by comparing actual financial results to Plan and Prior Year data and asking for variance explanations when necessary
• May assist in compiling annual financial plan and periodic forecasts
• Handles requests for ad hoc reports or financial information and interacts with internal E&Y personnel to verify information
• Enhances existing reports and develops new reports as requested
• Works on reporting financial results of individual countries
• Provides feedback on process improvement, if any, on a regular basis

Requirements

We are looking for the candidates with the following:

• 2-5 years in handling financial reporting or other accounting processes
• B.Com / BBM (with finance and accounts as subjects) /M.Com
• Strong MS Excel skill
• Knowledge of basic accounting concepts
• Good communication skillYou will need to:
• Possess analytical and problem solving skills
• Have sound understanding of basic accounting concepts
• Possess good communication skill
• Be strong in MS Excel skill
• Understand financial reporting objectives and basic process flow
• Ability to understand numbers and arrive at inferences
• Have strong inter personal skills with the ability to teach the juniors

2. Financial Analyst – Reporting

Technical skills requirements

• 0-3 years in related area of accounting or analysis function
• Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or Finance or Inter CA/ICWA or MBA (Finance) 

Additional skills requirements

• Be task-orientated and proven ability to produce material on a regular basis, to a consistently high standard.
• Be research oriented
• Be proficient in Excel/Word skills, including presentational aspects -Working knowledge or trainable in Excel, Access, Business Objects, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, and Internet Explorer; limited exposure to Essbase
• Be a strong team player who is comfortable working collaboratively and directionally as required.
• Be able to work with individuals at all levels within the organization
