I tried my best to give the summary of this scheme so that everyone can understand it well
(Please ignore spelling mistakes, if any)

1. For Commerce Graduates / Post Graduates

all students who hav completed their Graduation or PG in commerce then they can enter to CA Inter Directly 

Eligibility to CA Inter : 55% of the total marks or its equivalent
grade in the examination conducted by any recognised University
(including Open University) by studying any three papers of 100
marks each out of Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, Economics, Management (including Financial Management), Taxation (including Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws), Costing, Business Administration or Management Accounting.

Eligible for practical training : 3 yrs of articleship training will be started on completion of ITT training & Orientation course

Eligibility to appear in CA Inter Exam :

- register for CA inter
- complete 9 months of practical training 

2. For non commerce Graduates / PG

Eligibility to CA Inter : Graduates or Post Graduates other than those falling under Commerce stream mentioned above having secured in aggregate a minimum of 60% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the examination conducted by any recognised University (including Open University).

3. Students who are pursuing graduation can register for CA inter but that register will be PROVISIONAL registration means that u can do ITT training and orientation training but u must complete 9 months of articleship training to be eligible for sitting in exam of CA Inter.

Note : these students will be require to submit satisfactory proof of clearing graduation within 6 mnths from the commencement of final exam.... if in any case he /she failed to submit proof withing specified time then his/her registration will stand cancelled and no refund of fee will b given to student.

4. Candidates who have passed the Intermediate level examination or its equivalent examination by whatever name called conducted by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India or by The Institute of
Company Secretaries of India.

Eligible for practical training : 3 yrs of articleship training will b started on completion of :

- passing 1st or both groups of CA Inter
- ITT Training
- Orientation course 

Eligibility to appear in CA Inter Exam :

- register for CA inter
- complete 8 months of study course

Special Offer by ICAI : Students who will register under this scheme upto 30th september, 2012 will be eligible to appear in CA Inter exam May, 2013 inspite of their regular eligibility ubder this scheme.

  1. i have registered under direct entry scheme and am gonna write my exam in may 2013. i need to complete my ITT and Orientation Program before 31stmarch 2013 but there are no seats available for the ITT and Orientation in the institute. am i eligible to write the exam. and complete the course the ITT nd Orientaion Course after the Ipcc Exam?
